At La Roche University you’ll receive exposure to everything from basic marketing principles to how buyer behavior, research, international marketing, case-study approaches, advertising, brand management, sales and more all contribute to the bigger picture.

This major provides the common background required for any marketing career, along with an opportunity for specialization based on your interests. You’ll learn in the classroom and through outside research projects involving real-world marketing challenges.

Expert Faculty

The marketing faculty, all of whom have advanced degrees in their disciplines, also have significant real-world experience in the industry. Their backgrounds include everything from supply chain management expertise and experience working for sports teams, to 18 years of experience in the consumer products business and self-owned businesses.

Real-World Experience

La Roche Student Philanthropy Project
This initiative connects you with local causes and nonprofits. In a nonprofit marketing course, you'll choose a cause that is important to you, and then you and your classmates help to raise funds and sponsor events on campus to support the organization.

La Roche Concert Council
This organization provides an opportunity for students to organize La Roche's annual spring concert while learning the ins and outs of talent-buying, concert promotion and event planning. The organization is comprised of students, faculty and staff. Students have promoted artists like pop-soul singer MAX and pop-punk band State Champs.

Academic Organizations
The American Marketing Association (AMA) is a group designed to give members an avenue to actively participate and develop experience in the marketing realm of Pittsburgh and beyond. This association provides prestige and recognition, allowing members to increase their own market potential and maximize their career opportunities.
